Waya Island Resort

Waya Island Resort 

is an exciting new adults-only resort, set to debut in the Mamanuca Islands on 1 November 2023. Nestled between Octopus Resort and Barefoot Kuata, this exclusive retreat promises a private and intimate experience, boasting 17 charming bures enveloped in natural beauty. The resort presents two room categories, the Deluxe Garden Bure and Deluxe Villa, with rates starting from FJD850 for a Deluxe Garden Bure.

Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa

Construction has commenced on a substantial FJ$230 million expansion of the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, known as the 'Vatu Talei' project or 'The Jewel.' Designed to maximise the 10 vacant acres directly behind the resort, Vatu Talei, promises an exceptional fusion of luxury, sustainability, cultural enrichment, and gastronomic innovation. Scheduled for a late 2026 debut, this new development will encompass 190 rooms and suites. Set to open in late 2026, this new development is set to include 190 rooms and suites. Vatu Talei will consist of three multi-level buildings, including nine and four-story structures with rooftop pools and bars. It will also incorporate a three-level low-rise tower, all surrounded by scenic swimming pools, providing water views overlooking the existing hotel.

Radisson Blu Mirage Resort, Fiji Naisoso Island

On 10 July, the Radisson Hotel Group announced the signing of their second Radisson Blu hotel in Fiji on Naisoso Island. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026, the Radisson Blu Mirage Resort, Fiji Naisoso Island is poised to become a premier resort for travellers seeking a tranquil tropical getaway. Set against the stunning backdrop of Naisoso Island, the 250-key resort will offer guests direct beachfront access from apartments that overlook the South Pacific Ocean. The new resort will offer an array of leisure facilities, including three beachfront swimming pools, a gym, and a kids’ club. The F&B will include an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a swim-up pool bar, and event spaces for up to 150 guests.

Silent Yachts

On an island off Taveuni a solar-powered resort is being built by Silent Yachts. Nestle amid the rugged jungle and sandy beaches, the emissions-free luxury resort will include an array of eco-conscious beachfront residences and an impressive fleet of zero-emission vessels. Owners will have exclusive access to a number of Silent’s solar-electric tenders, speedboats, and catamarans. Residents will also have a complete run of the owners’ clubhouse, a bar and restaurant, a private beach club, and a fully equipped health and wellness center.

OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort

has introduced the OUTRIGGER Adventure Park, offering guests the opportunity to engage in activities such as paintball, a golf driving range, archery, and additional attractions in the near future. The resort has also introduced a range of new activities and excursions. Their ‘Sip and Paint’ activity includes a complimentary drink and canapés. The activity is guided by local Fijian artists and involves painting on a 400mm x 300mm canvas. Their Fijian ‘Butu Vatu’ experience includes coconut husking and tasting, weaving lessons, kokoda making and more. The resort now offers a 2.5hr tour to the Sigatoka Sand Dunes which includes transfers, entry, bottled water, and fun and games at the dunes.

IHG is set to bring its flagship Crowne Plaza brand to Fiji for the first time following a major signing with Wailoaloa Hotel. Opening in late 2023 following a multi-million dollar refurbishment, the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa will convert from its previous life as Pullman Nadi Bay. The existing 324 rooms will be refreshed, with the brand new two-bedroom family rooms and ocean facing king suites. The resort will also include a new day spa with 6 double treatment rooms, and seven dining outlets including a lobby bar, whiskey bar, all-day dining restaurant, Italian restaurant, Beach Club and a Nightclub.
