Polish restaurants in the MICHELIN Guide

Bottiglieria 1887
The 2023 Polish MICHELIN Guide highlights the best establishments in the three cities of Krakow, Warsaw and Poznan.

Among the 49 restaurants included in the Guide, Krakow’s Bottiglieria 1887 became the first Polish restaurant to be awarded two MICHELIN stars while Muga in Poznan and NUTA in Warsaw each received their first MICHELIN star status.

In the Bib Gourmand category, which recognises excellent value for money dining experiences, six new restaurants were awarded this status.

Another 22 venues have become newly recommended restaurants.

The city of Poznan was only included in the MICHELIN Guide in March 2023, when its Guide inspectors visited Poland, and found 11 restaurants in the city they wanted to highlight.

Poznań is a city on the Warta River known for its old town, with Renaissance-style buildings in Old Market Square.

Poznań Town Hall houses the Historical Museum of Poznań and the Gothic and baroque Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral is built on an island called Ostrów Tumski.

Kraków Kraków, located near to the Czechia border, is known for its well-preserved medieval core and Jewish quarter.

Its old town, ringed by Planty Park and remnants of the city’s medieval walls, has the Rynek Glówny (market square).

Warsaw Warsaw, the capital and largest city in Poland, stands on the Vistula.

Its Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while viewing the city from across the Vistula River, one sees skyscrapers rising above the red roofs of the Old Town.
