All this stress is not only impacting Australians’ spontaneity while on holiday (24%), it is also causing post-holiday regret – with 1 in 5 (20%) admitting they did not have an authentic experience.
Australians are craving a more enriching experience while travelling.[2] The missing ingredient? A local recommendation – with the majority (86%) wishing they had these before their trip. It may seem obvious, but surprisingly more than half (57%) of Australians don’t consider this while planning their trip.
When local recommendations were given, Australians felt it made their trip better and they were able to discover more hidden gems (69%) or try an experience they wouldn’t have otherwise (68%).
