The ‘Two Together’ offer will see a discount on the second ticket, with up to 50% off across Economy and Premium Economy and up to 30% off Business Class flights via Hong Kong to some of Australia’s favourite destinations, including London, Paris, and New York, plus complimentary carbon offset.

Cathay Pacific has made pioneering efforts in supporting Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) development for more than a decade and was the first airline investor in Fulcrum BioEnergy. Reaffirming its commitment to reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, Cathay Pacific is pledging to use SAF for 10% of its total fuel consumption by 2030.
Continuing its pursuit of greener aviation, the airlines Fly Greener program has offset more than 300,000 tonnes of carbon emissions since 2007, equivalent to the annual carbon emissions of more than 21,000 households in Australia. Furthermore, from 2019, the airline pledged to remove 50% of its annual usage of single-use plastic by 2022.
“As the first Asian airline to launch an offsetting carbon scheme, we are proud to continue our sustainable development journey with our investment in Fulcrum BioEnergy and using it widely throughout our fleet. We are delighted to welcome our Australian passengers to travel green with us this Green Friday,” said Rakesh Raicar, General Manager South West Pacific at Cathay Pacific.
The airline is making a difference not only within the organisation but also among communities. The contributions will directly fund third-party validated Gold Standard projects to offset carbon emissions while making a difference to local communities in developing countries around the world.
