ANNOUNCING GROUNDWATER’S EXCITING NEW PROGRAM

With only 4 weeks to go, the countdown is on until Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF) 2021.

Sunshine, warm weather and good times await as country comes back to the city with the exciting return of Groundwater to Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, from 12 – 14 November.

Despite the persistent and ever-evolving impact of the pandemic, Groundwater CMF continues to respond and adapt to ensure the Gold Coast is set alight this November by the stars of Australia’s vibrant country music scene. Major Events Gold Coast has been committed to supporting the live music industry with their perseverance to bring back country music at Groundwater CMF this year.

Groundwater CMF is thrilled to celebrate an exciting new program with a strong Aussie flavour. Australia is spoilt for choice when it comes to country artists. Joining the exceptional line-up are a collection of talented musicians including Troy Cassar-Daley, Graeme Connors, Caitlyn Shadbolt, the Hillbilly Goats, Jade Holland, Taylor Moss, and many more, adding to The Wolf Brothers, Sara Storer, and Casey Barnes who have already been announced.

Festival director, Mark Duckworth, is delighted to be one step closer to bringing Groundwater CMF back to Broadbeach despite the current COVID climate.

“We’ve been unwavering in our persistence to ensure Groundwater returns to the Gold Coast this year. It will be a great end to the year to see Australia’s outstanding country talent back on stage and joining us for this incredible event!”

The full program is NOW LIVE, and you can view the new line-up, full schedule, and festival map by downloading the official Groundwater CMF mobile app, or through the website at https://groundwatercmf.com/lineup/

Additionally, Surf Parade has been reimagined as the newly titled stage, The Back Road Theatre, providing theatre-style seating for patrons to sit and enjoy their favourite country stars. It’s just one of many new festival enhancements being provided this year. Whilst the Kurrawa Park Stage has been reimagined in 2021 to allow as many festival attendees to experience our stellar line-up of free country music in a COVID safe manner, which has meant for this year the big top won’t be returning.

Groundwater CMF will add even more action to the festival with the addition of a Cornhole Arena, a place where attendees can enjoy a social game or two with their friends or verse other attendees. Those wanting to channel their inner cowboy can try their hand at the all-new Hot Tomato Bucking Bull, putting their skills on display to see how long they can stay on.

A host of sensational Broadbeach venues will also be getting into the Groundwater spirit with country performances taking place throughout the festival, including The Lucky Squire, The Envy Hotel, The Broadbeach, and Fat Freddy’s Beach Bar and Diner, who will also be giving attendees a chance to perform during their Country Karaoke. With such a diverse range of options, festival-goers will always be able to find a venue to match their vibe.

So, leading up to November 12-14, 2021, get your friends and family together and book your accommodation for a coastal getaway to the Gold Coast to enjoy three days of free live country music. Groundwater is set amongst the streets, parks, bars, and restaurants of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast and is only a 30-minute drive from Coolangatta Airport and 60 minutes from Brisbane Domestic Airport.

To ensure Groundwater CMF is a safe environment for our community of country music lovers, all attendees will be encouraged to check-in via the “Check-in QLD” mobile app.

Groundwater Country Music Festival is produced by Major Events Gold Coast and supported by the Queensland Government via Tourism and Events Queensland and is a feature on the It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar.
