WORLD'S BEST YOUNG VOICES ARRIVE IN SYDNEY

The greatest gathering of international choirs in Australia this century is about to arrive in Sydney. The Gondwana World Choral Festival will bring together young voices from every corner of the globe, including Australia, Estonia, Latvia, France, China, Japan, Canada and the US, and is proudly supported by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.

Beginning on Monday 15 July, the Festival will open at the Sydney Opera House with a Gala Concert titled ‘Sounds of Australia’. It will include the premiere of two new works commissioned by Gondwana Choirs from noted Australian composer Paul Stanhope and leading American composer Nico Muhly.

Four concerts will take place daily throughout the week at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, before the Festival closes on Sunday 21 July with ‘Sounds of the World’ at the Sydney Opera House.
