It’s the Happiest Summer on Earth! The Disneyland® Resort kicks off the summer season with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, plus new shows, dining, and experiences throughout the resort. Grab your sunglasses and check out the summertime fun heading to Disneyland.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge
Bright suns from Batuu! The Disneyland® Resort has officially opened Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, with guests feeling the Force. Set in Black Spire Outpost, the immersive park expansion has magic “on the planet” for everyone. Can't-miss experiences for Star Wars fans include the following:

Millennium Falcon
Go into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon and take the controls on a mission of your own.

Dining to write Tatooine about
Take advantage of mobile food ordering from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and stop by Oga’s Cantina, a local watering hole with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Jedis of all ages can refuel with blue or green milk from the Milk Stand.

Out of this Galaxy Souvenirs
Head to the Savi’s Workshop Handbuilt Lightsaber to make your own lightsaber or Droid Depot to make an interactive, customizable droid. Clothing, toys, and additional merchandise are available throughout the land.

Tale of the Lion King
Oh, I just can’t wait to be king! Join narrator Mwongozo and a troop of performers in a contemporary musical theater adaptation of Disney’s “The Lion King.” The outdoor musical presentation encourages guests to sing and dance along to favorite songs from the film as The Storytellers from the Prideland share how a cub became a king. “Tale of the Lion King” is performed multiple times each day on the Palisades Stage in Disney California Adventure®.

“Disneyland® Forever” Fireworks Spectacular
Summertime sees a return of the “Disneyland® Forever” Fireworks Spectacular. The mesmerizing pyrotechnic and visual effects display first debuted during Disneyland®’s 60th anniversary. Be transported through the worlds of your favorite Disney stories with fireworks, projections, and music including an original song “Live the Magic.”

Sun’s Out, Magic’s Alive at Disneyland®
There’s even more magic planned at the Disneyland® Resort this summer!

• Behold the majesty of the refurbished Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Disney PhotoPass Photographers are on hand to capture your royal waves and smiles.
• Celebrate 60 years of beloved attractions. Matterhorn Bobsleds, the Disneyland® Monorail and Submarine Voyage (now Finding Nemo’s Submarine Voyage) are all celebrating their Diamond Anniversary this year.
• Hyperspace Mountain returns! The Star Wars-themed high-speed adventure takes over the Space Mountain tracks with guests defend themselves against the attacks of rebel X-wing fighters.

“Disneyland® Forever” Fireworks Spectacular

Enjoy new characters, dining, and entertainment at Disney California Adventure.
Pixar Pier welcomed a new attraction, Jessie’s Critter Carousel, inspired by the rootin’ tootin’ cowgirl from the Toy Story series.

• Oh, la la! Fancy Nancy is saying “Bonjour” to guests outside Disney Junior Dance Party in a new character meet & greet.
• Mickey’s PhilharMagic celebrates favorite musical moments in a new, animated 3D adventure at the Sunset Showcase Theater.
• Good morning, avocado toast! Start your Pixar perfect day with a new brunch menu at the Lamplight Lounge.

Summertime also brings a flashback with Soarin’ Over California taking flight for a limited run through June 30th.
