Whitsunday Gold Coffee Plantation Reopens

One of the Whitsunday mainland’s favourite attractions is back with the reopening of the Whitsunday Gold Coffee Plantation.
Located just outside Proserpine on the Bruce Highway - right opposite the Airlie Beach/Shute Harbour Road turn-off – the plantation has been a landmark for many years and is one of Australia’s largest coffee plantations.
Now, following a period of closure due to cyclone damage, the refurbished coffee plantation is back!
They have opened their fully licensed cafe and the enormous children’s playground is also only days from opening.
Surrounded by stunning scenery, bordered by the Proserpine River and nestled in a rich fertile valley, the plantation’s 140,000 Arabica coffee trees produce a truly beautiful, award-winning coffee (it was a Bronze Medal winner at the 2010 Australian Golden Bean Awards for single origin Australian coffee).

“Our coffee offers a full-bodied, velvety smooth texture with a subtle, yet rich, bright and lively taste,” said a spokesperson.

“While you're here, enjoy the ambience of our North Queensland plantation style coffee shop and roastery and be entertained and educated on our plantation tours.”

So don't pass through the Whitsunday Region without calling in to taste the quality of Whitsunday Gold Coffee Plantation’s award-winning, Australian grown coffee!
