Glass Skywalk Opens Along Edge of Jinmao Tower in Shanghai

A glass-bottomed skywalk that runs along the 88th floor of Jinmao Tower in Shanghai recently opened to visitors.

The open-air pathway offers daring souls (no more than 15 at one time) an opportunity to take in unmatched views of one of the world’s busiest cities without the security of a handrail (walker are strapped in a safety harness).

The skyscraper is the third tallest building in China. For your thrill-seeking, adrenaline-junky clients, this is an activity to include in your Shanghai itinerary.

Visits to the ledge require a signed waiver. Cost is $43 to visit the observation deck, and $18 for those willing to venture out onto the glass ledge.
