Whisky, Billiards and Banter at Hotel Lindrum

Hotel Lindrum
Hotel Lindrum, MGallery Collection, in conjunction with the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, will host an afternoon of whisky, billiards and banter on Saturday 12th March 2016.

Steeped in Melbourne's billiard history, Hotel Lindrum was built for tea merchants in 1900 and later became the city's Billiard Centre, aptly named after Walter Lindrum and his family for producing four generations of billiard champions. The billiards room contains memorabilia from Walter Lindrum's championship era and a nostalgic air that transports you to Melbourne's past.

This special event will see guest and Melbourne locals alike 'Have a Ball in a Billiard Hall', entwining whisky tasting with a lesson in billiards taken by triple world champion player Robby Foldvari around the famed billiards table in Hotel Lindrum's back bar.

David Baker, founder of Bakery Hill, will offer guests a brief history on Victorian Whisky, before divulging the story behind his very own distillery. Guests will spend the afternoon learning the basics of billiards whilst tasting an impressive line-up Victorian Gin, a Classic Single Malt, a Double Wood and a Peated Malt.

Hotel Lindrum's Executive Chef André Christian E. Dulay has crafted menu of canapé morsels highlighting Victoria's best seasonal produce, perfectly matched to each unique tipple.

Tickets available cost $103 per person and are available now at Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Two sessions available at 1pm and 4pm on Saturday 14th March 2016.
