Australian TV travel production company GraingerTV has just signed a series of contracts that will see their all-Aussie programs being broadcast to tens of millions of viewers world-wide.
Netflix has signed a deal for 10 GraingerTV-made 1-hour programs that will be transmitted to all of its global territories.
Nat Geo has signed a contract for THE WHALE WHISPERER, a TV special featuring the whales of Hervey Bay and supported by Tourism and Events Queensland and Fraser Coast Opportunities.
Channel 7 Australia is also re-signing GraingerTV for its weekly 90-minute screenings of the all-Aussie program TRAVEL OZ.
GraingerTV's latest TV special, ULTIMATE FREEDIVE: THE GREAT BARRIER REEF, is in the final stages of post production, and will launched at the international TV convention MIP in Cannes in April.
GraingerTV executive producer Greg Grainger says the sales are proof that Australia is a much-desired destination for international viewers. “What a stunning film set Australia is. No matter where we turn our cameras there's astounding scenery. Marry that with the friendliest people on the planet, and you have the perfect formula for great TV.”
