VisitCanberra recently unveiled the new visitcanberra.com.au consumer website. The new mobile and tablet friendly website has an intuitive interface, providing visitors with new ways to source information and gain inspiration.
The website has been divided into three key sections: Stay, See & Do, Eat & Drink and has a section called Ask Canberra where people can ask VisitCanberra questions about visiting the nation's capital.
An easy to navigate Inspire Me section provides ideas and reasons to visit – engaging and enhancing the visitor experience.
The website also encourages and facilitates user generated content in addition to integrating social media content across the site and enabling visitors to share pages via their own social media channels.
VisitCanberra has also produced a fantastic new iPad edition of its annual flagship publication. Visitors to Canberra can now also download a free iPad edition of the 2014 Canberra Capital Region Visitor Guide from the App Store.
Based on the 64-page print edition available from the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre, the iPad app features extra content in the form of videos, feature articles and images and includes website link to key products. All content is conveniently stored on the device for instant retrieval.
This app is yet another channel for promoting the wide range of experiences in the nation's capital both to national and international audiences and connecting to consumers who research and plan their holidays using digital tools.
