Wtown: a Mountain Village under the Oldest Great Wall

After over three years of construction and preservation, Beijing Wtown has made its soft-opening on Jan. 1st, 2014.

Beijing Wtown International Leisure Tourism Resort (known as Wtown) is located at Simatai Villiage, Gubeikou town, Miyun County, Beijing, nestled against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Wall at Simatai, in a remote, rural area. It is only an hour and half from Beijing International Airport and Beijing downtown, 45 minutes drive from Miyun County and Chengde City. The 24th Exit of Beijing-Chengde Highway is accessible to Wtown.

It covers an area of 9 square kilometers with 430,000 square meters of building area. It’s a typical Northern China tourism resort for sightseeing, holiday, leisure and MICE activity. There are the Times of Republic of China District, subcamp district, water view district, folk culture district, stockaded village, catering in guesthouse, meditation area and Eden valley.

Simatai Great Wall

Simatai Great Wall is the only one Great Wall that has reserved the original appearance of Ming dynasty. UNESCO has designated Simatai Great Wall as one of the World Cultural Heritage Sites as part of the Great Wall World Heritage Site. As commended by The Times in the year of 2012, it is the No.1 top 25 global scenery that can’t to be missed. Simatai Great Wall is known for its steepness and owns 20 well-preserved watchtowers dotting along the wall. To be specific, Watching Beijing Tower (Wang Jing Lou): is at an elevation of 986 meters which is the summit of the Simatai Great Wall.

Wuzhen Boutique Hotel

Great Wall Academy Inn
