During Homecoming Scotland 2014, a year-long programme of over 100 events will celebrate the very best of Scotland’s food and drink, its fantastic active and natural resources and its vibrant creativity, culture and ancestral heritage with a wide variety of music, drama, dance, art and cultural events across the country.
Add new Homecoming events to your Scotland itineraries and give your clients the opportunity to take part in a year to remember. Homecoming events include:
- Highland Games – Scotland’s breathtaking scenery acts as a backdrop to our famous Highland games! From May to September, events such as tossing the caber, Highland dancing and pipe band performances will take place around the country.Get your clients to mix with the locals!
- Whisky Month – Starting with the popular Spirit of Speyside Festival, May 2014, whisky month, will take in hundreds of events that spread across the entire country.These will include Edinburgh’s Whisky Stramash and Scotland’s contribution to celebrations on World Whisky Day.
- The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, 1-23 August 2014, Edinburgh. Staged every year as part of the world-famous Edinburgh Festival, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a unique and memorable celebration of music, dance and military pageantry.
