Korea Tourism Organization have twelve co-exhibitors joining AIME2014 - Seoul Tourism Organization, Gyeongnam Convention & Visitors Bureau as well as inbound MICE specialists and tour operators: US Tours & Travel, Jane Tour & DMC, Creven Co. Ltd,, Kim's Travel Co. Ltd., Plaza 21 Plus Travel inc., Holiday Planners Co. Ltds., Bosuk Tours Ltd., Wow Corea Tour, KR Tour as well as Lotte Hotel Seoul who are available to meet with buyers.
Buyers will be invited to relax in the lounge and take part in some activities like making traditional Korean fan, enjoying some medicinal Korean green tea and snacks as well as have their photo taken in traditional Korean dress in the photo Zone.
Buyers will be able to watch promotional films on Korea and have an overall Korean experience whist in the lounge.
According to UIA statistics Korea was ranked fifth for the number of international meetings in 2012. Korea is on the fast track to become one of the top destinations for MICE events. MICE space in the country has expanded 70% since the year 2000 and more facilities are being developed in key hubs to boost the industry.
Korea has had much experience over the years hosting major world events like the '88 Seoul Olympic Games, the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the G20 Summit in 2010. Korea is also set to host the Winter Olympics in 2018.
Korea will play host to some major exhibitions this year with the Seoul International Sports & Leisure Industry (SPOEX) show from 20-23 February at the COEX Exhibition Centre in Seoul. Also being held at COEX in Seoul this year are KOGOLF, the Korean Golf Show which runs from 20-23 March, Seoul Living Design Fair from 26-30 March, Jewelry Fair Korea 24-27 April, World IT Show 20-23 October and Food Week Korea from 12-15 November.
Korea presently has nine major convention centers in cities throughout the country including Seoul and Jeju Island off the southern coast of Korea. Easy access to the country as well as convenient transportation such as the KTX Express train allows connecting between major cities within two and half hour range of Seoul.
