Last
year, more than 18,000 Elvis fans gathered in the Central New South
Wales town of Parkes to celebrate Elvis Presley's birthday with the
Parkes Elvis Festival.
This year, the event is shaping up to be even bigger and better – kicking off 8 January and running until Sunday 12 January.
A five-day program of events featuring favourites, including free main
stage entertainment, look-a-like contests, Tribute to Elvis Competition,
The Elvis Street Parade, opportunity to renew your wedding vows,
displays of Elvis memorabilia (including Greg Page's: The Kings Castle),
Elvis Gospel Service, Cars of the Era Car Show and more than 150 unique
Elvis-style events.
The parade, which will commence at 10am, attracts massive crowds and
significant media attention. The 'Kissin Cousins' theme is sure to spark
inspiration this year with more than 100 entries expected.
All floats, vehicles and walking entries must be registered to
participate in the parade, with registration forms available online. For
