Qatar Airways will this week take part in its first major event of the year, displaying one of its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft at the Bahrain International Air Show taking place from 16 – 18 January 2014.
On display in Bahrain will be one of the airlines nine new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, capable of flying to any long-haul business or leisure destination worldwide from the airline’s hub in Doha, capital of the State of Qatar.
A long term participant at the show, Qatar Airways anticipates many visitors on board its 787 Dreamliner and looks forward to showcasing its hospitality.
Now in its 17th year of operations, Qatar Airways has a modern fleet of 129 aircraft flying to 134 key business and leisure destinations across six continents.
The show, which will take place at the Sakhir Air Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, is expected to be attended by key dignitaries and visitors from the Gulf region and around the world.
Qatar Airways operates the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on many of its routes from Doha, such as Oslo, Stockholm, Zurich, Copenhagen and London.
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker commented: “We are delighted to display one of our new 787 aircraft in Bahrain, giving people an opportunity to see the aircraft and its impressive features. “Our 787s provide passengers with a unique travel experience with custom-built comfort features that are the hallmark of our Five Star service across both the Business and Economy cabins.
