Festival of the Voice is returning to The Rocks on Australia Day with another outstanding line-up of Aussie musical talent providing the perfect setting to celebrate our nation.
Presented by Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, Festival of the Voice will be one of the biggest FREE events of the year with more than 100,000 people expected to attend this wonderful celebration of Australian music
There is a myriad of things to do – .soak up the music of The Bamboos, Tijuana Cartel, Ngaiire, Kira Puru and the Bruise and more as you dance away the afternoon at two outdoor stages. Lounge in a paddling pool in the Easy George astroturf relaxation zone, wander The Rocks Markets, strike up some friendly rivalry on the games lawn and croon karaoke in the streets.
Wander through old cobblestoned laneways and be serenaded by beautiful choirs or dance along George Street to quirky roaming performers. Picnic on the lawns with family and friends or enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at the many cafes, restaurants and heritage pubs.
On top of a brilliant day of live music there’ll be a huge chill-out zone at First Fleet Park, markets of food, crafts and fashion, roving street musicians and loads of kids’ entertainment. You can even live the dream of belting out an Aussie rock anthem to a live audience at the karaoke stage – all in The Rocks’ stunning harbourside location.
However you like it, this is the essential Australia Day street festival at its sun-drenched finest.
