With less than 40 days until Christmas, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield are offering passengers a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend a day in Santa’s Lapland.
The airport has teamed up with Transun to offer a magical trip to Lapland on Wednesday 18th December.
The package gives travellers the opportunity to ride snowmobiles, husky sleds and reindeer sleighs – and, of course, a trip to Lapland wouldn’t be complete without a private family meeting with Santa in his cabin, which is hidden in the woods.
The exciting daybreak will depart from the airport at around 7.30am and return later in the evening – allowing passengers to be home in time for supper!
Departures fly to Enontekio in Finland – an airport in a remote wilderness location, which satisfies Transun’s aim to operate in authentic Lapland locations, far from mass-market commercialised resorts. For every three adults travelling a free child place is available and for every two adults a child can travel half price.
Transun’s James Crawshaw said: “Transun is delighted to be flying from Doncaster Sheffield Airport in 2013. We have the UK’s largest Lapland day programme and are pleased we can run this magical daybreak once more to those living in the South Yorkshire area.’
Steve Gill, Managing Director of the airport added: “We are pleased Transun has chosen to operate this special Santa trip from Doncaster Sheffield Airport again: with its emphasis on Festive magic, this is unlike any other flight from the airport this winter.”
Established in 1982, Transun is an independent tour operator offering a selection of charter departures to Lapland from the UK.
