International personalities will attend the 28th Congress of the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA), which in its 2014 edition will take place, for the first time, in Colombia.
According to a note from the Ministry of Culture, from April 7 to 12, Bogota will host the event, which in the past has taken place in cities such as Sydney, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong, London and Sao Paulo.
The annual Congress seeks to consolidate an international network of leaders within the sector of the performing arts and allow the host cities to open spaces for exchange, projection and visibility of their cultural efforts, adds the source.
Under the slogan “What Arts Move” the meeting, to be held parallel to the Iberoamerican Theater Festival, will be attended by over 350 guests. The national delegation includes, among others, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota.
The Society, founded in New York, is an international non-profit organisation that brings together exponents of the performing arts, united by the desire to promote the arts internationally by building leadership skills, recognition and discussion of issues related to this field.
