NSW TOURISM IS REAL WINNER IN STATE OF ORIGIN CLASH

The NSW Blues might have missed out on clenching a series win, however, NSW tourism has proved the real winner this week in the State of Origin clash.

Destination NSW CEO, Sandra Chipchase, said: “The State of Origin match not only was a great night for fans but also for tourism in NSW, with a sold-out record crowd of 83,813 packing out ANZ Stadium.

“Fans flocked to Sydney for the decider and around 20 per cent of the attendees at Game 3 were from interstate or overseas.

“The NSW Blues united Rugby League fans across the State but it must be said that NSW was the victor in our ability to attract interstate and international visitors for major sporting events,” Ms Chipchase said.
