Destination NSW’s corporate websites visitnsw.com and sydney.com recorded over 830,000 visits for the month of July 2012, up 41 per cent on the previous year.
This represents the second highest monthly visitation rate ever recorded by Destination NSW. In the same month, we also delivered over 143,000 industry leads, with 58 industry operator transactions totalling $24,260.
The increase in traffic is the result of the completion of 12 major regional and metropolitan tourism campaigns and events.
In July, Destination NSW’s corporate websites continued to hold the number one most visited state government tourism website position with 31 per cent market share compared to Tourism Victoria (17 per cent) and Tourism Queensland (16 per cent).
