Pac Bo Recognized As A Special National Relic Site

Cao Bang Provincial People’s Committee announced at a press conference yesterday that Pac Bo historical relic site would be recognized as a special national relic site. The event is linked to the program “Travel through Viet Bac Heritage Sites” and the establishment of Cao Bang city from October 3 rd to 10 th in Cao Bang city.

The ceremony will include three parts, namely “Pac Bo – The root of the Vietnam revolution”, “Imposing, Beautiful and Rich Viet Bac (North Viet)-Epic of the Revolution-Resistance War – A Heritage Site”, and “Viet Bac misses Uncle Ho – Viet Bac Follows Uncle Ho’s Footsteps”.

On this occasion, the organizing panel will exhibit 300 photos and 170 typical objects on Cao Bang in the past and at present.

Moreover, there will be an exchange performance of the art troupes of Viet Bac, including the 6 provinces of Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen, Viet Bac Folk Dance and Singing Theatre and Baise city art troupe from Guangxi Province, China.

During the event there will be sports matches, an international trade and tourism fair, and product exhibitions for Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises in Cao Bang city.

Regarding the recognition of Pac Bo as a special national relic site, Ms. Nhan Thi Minh Thi, Deputy Director of Cao Bang Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stressed that it is an honour and responsibility for Cao Bang Province's people. Pac Bo is close to a special important historical period of Vietnam’s Revolution, and the revolutionary stage of President Ho Chi Minh from 1941 to1945.
