Grand Hotel Savoia Cortina d’Ampezzo |
Cortina d’Ampezzo is a ski resort in northern Italy and part of the Dolomiti Superski area, which encompasses the Falzarego Pass, with its downhill runs.
Sites from the 1956 Winter Games held in Cortina include the Ice Stadium, the Eugenio Monti bobsleigh run and the disused ski jump Trampolino Olimpico Italia.
The winter season at the Grand Hotel Savoia Cortina d'Ampezzo opens on the 7 December 2023, with sister property Savoia Palace Residences reopening on 1 December 2023.
Throughout its history, the 135-room hotel, with its backdrop of the Dolomite mountains, has played host to a number of distinguished guests and celebrities, and came of age in the 1950s when American presidents and British prime ministers visited.
Guests are invited to dine at the property’s three unique culinary locations starting with the Ristorante Savoy, 1224 Bar Lounge & Terrace and The Sports Bar.
The resort is the largest 5-star property in the Ampezzo valley and is some 150 km from both Venice and Innsbruck-Austria, and 120 km from Treviso.
