The event was implemented under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism.
In his opening speech, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Mr. Phan Van Mai said: Vietnam tourism in general and Ho Chi Minh City tourism in particular have recorded positive signs of recovery. Accordingly, in the first 8 months of 2023, Vietnam welcomed more than 7.8 million international visitor arrivals, Ho Chi Minh City attracted 3 million ones.
ITE HCMC 2023 is organized to increase growth of international tourists to Vietnam, improve the flow of tourists between countries and optimize tourism income through connecting tourism businesses in downstream Mekong countries and traditional markets, potential markets in the region and the world.
ITE HCMC 2023 takes place from 7-9 September with an exhibition area of 9,400sqm, an increase of 88% compared to 2022, the number of booths increases by 45%.
The Expo attracted the participation of nearly 380 booths from businesses, tourism associations, tourism promotion organizations. It also drew 33 international press agencies and famous KOLs on tourism from Australia, Philippines, Malaysia, USA, Hong Kong (China), Turkey, Spain, Korea…
With the participation of about 200 international buyers from 41 countries and territories, thereby, ITE HCMC 2023 promises to have 6,000 B2B commercial exchanges between buyers and exhibitors.
