Pattaya City is located on Thailand’s eastern gulf coast, and is renowned for its beaches, water sports, family-friendly attractions, and outdoor activities. Some travelers search for fun and adventure here.

However, this beach town with diversity and consistent growth of economy has natural attractions, places of business, hotels and shopping centres that offer the potential to serve large-scale conventions, trade shows and exhibitions. 

Pattaya has formulated the strategy for the development of Pattaya as “MICE City” as the city is recognized for special venues with Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS). 

Importantly, The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has joined with the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office and Pattaya City to develop the resort destination into a "Mice Metropolis", where the EEC zone encompasses parts of three provinces around Pattaya City.

Several megaprojects are under development, including the expansion of U-tapao airport and major infrastructure linking ground, sea and air transport systems
throughout these provinces.

This means, these movements are the main supporting factors for leveraging the development of MICE businesses in Pattaya City.

There are plenty of accommodations and convention facilities that suit international conventions and exhibitions in the city, which ranked as the third top MICE city after Bangkok and Phuket in terms of volume of MICE travelers. With all these reasons, it made Pattaya City a real potential for a centre of commerce, investment and services.
