Top Things to Do in Anaheim and Orange County for the 4th of July

Anaheim, California, is filled with energy and fun activities for the entire family on the 4th of July. Here’s a list of the top things to do in and around the city this Independence Day.

Celebrate Independence Day at the Theme Parks

A trip to Anaheim wouldn’t be the same without a visit to Disneyland® Park. Add a 4th of July fireworks celebration to the mix, and you have all the makings for an extra special night. This annual salute to America set to patriotic music is as spectacular as you’d expect from Disneyland® Resort.

Speaking of world-renowned theme parks, the nearby Knott's Berry Farm will host many July 4th activities for all to enjoy, such as Ghost Town Alive!, Knott’s Summer Night party and an impressive fireworks display at 9:30 pm. You will not want to miss one of the best Independence Day fireworks shows in Orange County!

Orange County Gets Patriotic

Start celebrating early at the annual Brea County Fair. There is a 7 am pancake breakfast, with the fair officially starting at 9 am. There will be rides, a kiddie parade, a dog parade, food and game booths, a classic car show, and more than enough patriotism to go around.

There is a lot to celebrate at Doheny Beach in Dana Point this 4th of July. The dazzling fireworks display runs from 9 pm to 9:30 pm. Arrive early to catch the WWII North American AT-6 airplanes making a patriotic flyover from 5:55 pm to 6 pm.

Also in Dana Point, at a time still to be announced, is the always exciting DanaPoint Water Wars, where participants take everything from small inflatables to larger fishing boats in the main channel for an epic water fight!

In Huntington Beach, AKA Surf City, celebrate all day as the city hosts several events. The Surf City Run starts at 7 am with a 5k for residents, an 8 am open 5k, an 8:15 am stroller 5k, and a 9 am kids fun run. Don't miss the start of the parade at 10 am, the carnival that runs from 12 pm to 10 pm, and the 4th of July Fireworks Over the Ocean, a stunning patriotic event you won’t soon forget.

There will be much fun to be had this year in Aliso Viejo at their July 4th Celebration & Fireworks from 6 pm to 9:30 pm with live entertainment from 7 pm to 9 pm. Celebrate with airbrush tattoo artists, carnival games, face painting, balloon twisters, and children's crafts. The low-level fireworks show begins at approximately 9 pm.

Newport Beach
In Newport Beach at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina, celebrate Independence Day on the Bay from 8 am to 10 pm. The event features live music, delicious food, water sports rentals, an inflatable water park, and a fantastic fireworks display that gets underway at 9 pm.

No matter where you choose to spend this Fourth of July in Anaheim and Orange County, you’re sure to have a good time and see a spectacular fireworks show.

We wish you a Happy Independence Day!
