About the Supercars Indigenous round
- The betr Darwin Triple Crown will host the official Supercars Indigenous Round.
- This is the second year of the Supercars Indigenous Round. The first round was hosted in 2022.
- The Supercars Indigenous Round is about celebrating Australia’s First Nations people, and pays respect to the Traditional Owners, the Larrakia people, on whose land the event takes place.
- One of the biggest events on the Supercars Championship calendar.
- The Supercars championship teams will feature unique liveries, wrapping their cars with Indigenous artworks.
- For the first time, the event will also feature a brand-new exhibition, The Gallery, detailing the stories and artists behind the livery designs.
- Didgeridoos will be designed by Larrakia artist William Hewitt as trophies, and the coveted Darwin Triple Crown trophy is a traditional shield crafted by Larrakia artist Trent Lee.
- The Round additionally provides opportunities for young Indigenous Australians, from organisations like Racing Together and the Indigenous Road Safety Academy, to get involved in the motorsport industry.
