From the 1st April Italy will be lifting many Covid-19 restrictions. The Green Pass, showing vaccination certificates, or proof of a negative test, will no longer be required for many outdoor venues, while, at indoor venues, it will no longer be requested from the 1st of May.

Phase-out of COVID-19 measures
Italy eases covid restrictions. From 1st April 2022, the green pass will no longer be compulsory for all outdoor venues, except stadiums, and for many indoor venues, but the requirement to wear an FFP2 mask remains. From the 1st of May, the use of facemasks indoors and on public transport is no longer mandatory and virtually all the remaining Green Pass obligations end.

Qantas Perth-Rome
From 22 June 2022, Qantas will operate the only direct service between Australia and continental Europe, flying three return Sydney-Perth-Rome flights per week to meet demand over the European holiday peak season.

The new flight will cut more than three hours off the current fastest travel time to Rome using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with cabins designed specifically for long haul travel.
