Entry Protocols Further Relaxed in Sri Lanka

The Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka has further relaxed entry protocols in its latest circular issued yesterday (18.04.2022). The following summary is an extraction highlighting the necessary changes. We feel with the relaxed protocols, travelling to Sri Lanka is further convenient, flexible and a hassle-free experience.

Unvaccinated/partially vaccinated persons of 12 years and above should mandatorily carry a negative COVID-19 PCR test report done within 72 hours prior to embarkation OR Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) report done within 48 hours prior to embarkation. Self Swabs are not allowed. They will be exempted on arrival (Day one test).

Submission of the online Health Declaration Form is not required.

Foreign National Passport holders must have an insurance cover for at least USD 50,000 including cover for hospitalized treatment for COVID-19 infection. The intended period of stay in Sri Lanka and additional 14 days should be covered by the insurance.Note from Authenticities: We recommend travellers subscribe to Local Covid insurance cover offered by the government of SL for a premium of US$12 per person insurance with cover up to US$ 75,000/= & valid for 30 days.

Warm regards,
Team at Authenticities
