The “Visit Tuyen Quang Year 2022” taking place with many unique events

Tuyen Quang Province organised the Opening ceremony for the Visit Tuyen Quang Year 2022 with the theme “Tuyen Quang tourism - Safe, attractive, full experience” in Lam Binh District, on 1st April. Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang Province, Mr. Nguyen Van Son said, Tuyen Quang is the place of origin, convergence and cultural interference of ethnic groups in the North with 22 ethnic groups living together. Many tangible and intangible cultural heritage properties are preserved and promoted. During the August Revolution of 1945, Tuyen Quang was the "capital of the liberated zone", the "capital of the resistance", the place where important historical events took place and was decisive significance to the nation's destiny.

The Opening ceremony of the Visit Tuyen Quang Year 2022 is organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Uncle Ho's return to Tuyen Quang to lead the nation in the resistance war (April 2, 1947 - April 2, 2022). This is an opportunity for Tuyen Quang to uphold introduce and promote the image, potential of tourism development and unique tourism products of the province to domestic and international visitors; Building a tourist image of Tuyen Quang as a safe - friendly - attractive destination for visitors.

Responding to the Visit Vietnam Year 2022, Tuyen Quang Province has organised a series of activities with many unique events, which are an opportunity to connect the province's cultural and tourism products with the whole country and the world, creating a new development step for Tuyen Quang tourism. The opening is the first Tuyen Quang International Air Balloon Festival taking place from 30th March to 3rd April with the participation of more than 20 hot air balloons from all over the world such as the UK, the US, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Spain, the Netherlands and the home team Vietnam, represented by a hot air balloon of Vietjet Air.

Besides, there is the 2022 Kayak Race at Ban Cai, Thuong Lam Commune, Lam Binh District; experience Lam Binh ecological lake bed; organise a fire dance ceremony of the Pa Then ethnic group.

In 2022, Tuyen Quang Province will thrive to welcome 2.2 million visitor arrivals, and gradually bring tourism to an important economic sector of the province.
