From a picnic under the stars with a symphonic soundtrack to an evening of bangers performed by rock royalty, the City of Parramatta’s award-winning Parramatta Nights is turning Parramatta Park into a music wonderland with a series of FREE live concerts this March.Billymaree
Gather your loved ones for an epic weekend of outdoor entertainment at Parramatta Nights’ hotly anticipated Sydney Symphony Under the Stars (26 March) and Rock in the Park (27 March) events.
“When it comes to live performances, there’s nothing better than basking in the sounds of classical masterpieces or rocking out to some of Australia’s biggest music legends, with the backdrop of the beautiful Parramatta Park,” City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Donna Davis said.
“Pack a picnic, bring your family and friends, and enjoy two evenings of spectacular free music performances!”
Greater Sydney Parklands Chief Executive Suellen Fitzgerald said she was excited to welcome Sydneysiders back to Parramatta Park for live music and entertainment.
“Both events at The Crescent will be magical – uniquely surrounded by the World-Heritage listed Parramatta Park, it’s the best outdoor music venue in western Sydney,” Ms Fitzgerald said.

Unfurl a picnic blanket and enjoy an evening of symphonic classics under the stars led by celebrated conductor Benjamin Northey to mark the world-class Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s 90th Anniversary in this special rescheduled performance of a beloved Sydney Festival favourite.
Music lovers of all ages can look forward to a diverse program featuring everything from canonical greats like Dvořák and Mozart; a selection of heart-stirring, familiar film classics; and works by acclaimed contemporary Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin.
Hosted by ABC Sydney Mornings presenter Cassie McCullagh, the evening will build to a thunderous conclusion with a dazzling display of fireworks set to illuminate Parramatta Park and beyond.
“After its postponement earlier this year, we are thrilled to present Sydney Symphony Under the Stars and share this much-loved mainstay of the Sydney Festival program in partnership with Parramatta Nights,” Sydney Festival Director Olivia Ansell said.
“Sydney-siders can expect a spectacular night of classical music from across the ages amongst the beauty of Parramatta Park, whilst celebrating 90 years of Sydney Symphony Orchestra.”

Dust off your air guitar and assemble the crew for Rock in the Park, an epic free outdoor concert featuring a line-up of Australian rock royalty.
“We are beyond excited about being part of this live music event. It’s great to have so much Australian talent on one bill and we can’t wait!” General Manager of Live Nation Special Events Damian Costin said.
Boasting a staggering selection of rock legends, Rock in the Park features performances by solo artist and lead singer of the Platinum-selling Sydney rock band Noiseworks Jon Stevens and the star-studded Australian Rock Collective (A.R.C.), which comprises music icons Darren Middleton from Powderfinger, Mark Wilson from Jet, Kram from Spiderbait, and Davey Lane from You Am I.
Also lighting up the stage are multi-ARIA-Award-winning hard rock band Baby Animals and alternative rockers Kingswood.
There will be a great selection of food and drinks on offer, and a spectacular end-of-night fireworks display.
Rock in the Park is presented by the City of Parramatta in partnership with Live Nation Special Events and Greater Sydney Parklands.
Parramatta’s autumn event series runs over six weeks and all events will be delivered in line with public health orders.
