You’ll find familiar characters representing various Japanese localities with their characteristics – for instance, Vulpix the snowy fox represents Hokkaido, Geodude in Iwate (which means ‘rock palm’), and Sandshrew for Tottori’s sand dunes.

 In addition to various events held across Japan, you can also find and bring home special local merchandise emblazoned with Pokémon’s characters!
