Hop on board the Koshino Shu*Kura train

If you’re a sake aficionado, hop on board the Koshino Shu*Kura, a train ride that highlights the sake from Niigata Prefecture, one of Japan’s top sake producers.
 
The main focus on board is the event car, with tables resembling sake brewery casks, where you join in on sake tasting! 

There are usually a few different types of sake to try, and the samples change depending on the breweries.

Throughout the 1.5-hour ride, the tasting session lasts for 20 minutes between JR Kashiwazaki Station and JR Miyauchi Station.
