Travelling the great outdoors by motorhome is not a trend in Sri Lanka, though TTC is able to offer the flexibility for ANZ guests to explore by this unique perspective while enjoying the diversity and beauty of Sri Lanka through the network of fully equipped caravan parks available island-wide.The Travel Concierge Sri Lanka (TTC) has been working closely with a local partner to develop exclusive Motorhome & Car hire packages for the ANZ market.

There are a range of camping options from mist capped hills to dense jungles to sublime beaches. TTC’s new service give the freedom to explore these at one’s own pace and are able to customise packages giving guests the opportunity to discover much of the beautiful island.

TTC guests are able to choose from a variety of modern & fully equipped European motorhomes, suitable for couples & small families, and provide suggested itineraries, comprehensive information on park facilities and also local guides & experiences (such as a home cooked meal with a Sri Lankan family) at key locations.

As a value added service, a full-time driver/caretaker can be assigned to look after the mundane tasks such as cleaning, hygiene, tidying, and looking after all on-board appliances. Not only does this enable guests to fully immerse themselves in their travels, they can also readily indulge in the country’s fine beer and the local brew of arrack!

ANZ representative, Mark Snoxell, of Exposure Downunder, has inspected the vehicles and says that they are as good, if not much better, than those that we are used to seeing on our roads and recommends them to experienced motorhome enthusiasts. “Currently popular from the UK, we suggest agents let their local motorhome club know about this new venture and we are able to provide sample packages and customisable flyers to help sell this great product.”

All drivers must have a valid International Driving License (available online and usually posted after three business days), complete local registration for relevant Sri Lankan Driving Permit (which the team at TTC will assist in completing prior to arrival), Fully Comprehensive Insurance and pay a refundable deposit of USD 250 (usually USD 2500). Car hire also available.
