Merrepen Arts Festival: 27-29 May

The annual Merrepen Festival is held in the friendly community of Nauiyu, 240 kilometres south-west of Darwin. Merrepen Arts will be open with exhibitions, as well as screenprinting, weaving and bush tucker demonstrations. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase the beautiful indigenous artwork and textiles, and enjoy a local Battle of the Bands on the town oval on Saturday night.

Barunga Festival: 10 – 12 June

The Barunga Festival is one of the Territory's longest running Indigenous events, showcasing a range of contemporary Indigenous musicians, cultural activities and workshops. The festival is held in a remote community near Katherine.

Tatts Finke Desert Race: 10-13 June

The Finke Desert Race is Australia's premier off-road racing event that attracts bike, car and buggy entries from around Australia and overseas. It is a multi-terrain, two-day race through desert country from Alice Springs to the small Aputula (Finke) Community and is reputed to be one of the most difficult off-road races in one of the most remote places in the world.

Darwin Triple Crown V8 Supercars: 17-19 June

Hear the roar of the V8 Supercars descending on Darwin as fans flock to Hidden Valley to watch their heroes' race on a fast, picturesque course. The V8 Supercars Championship prides itself on offering patrons an entertaining program of on and off-track entertainment.

The Alice Springs Beanie Festival: 22 – 26 June

The Alice Springs Beanie Festival is a unique event that celebrates this great Australian icon. It's the place people can come to find the perfect beanie from among more than 4,000 beanies displayed at the Araluen Cultural Precinct in Alice Springs. It's a full weekend with music, the famous tea shop, the Beanie Olympics, and a fantastic program of textile workshops and crafts for kids.
