BOGGABRI LOCALS FIRE UP FOR DROVERS CAMPFIRE WEEK

The countdown is on for the award-winning Boggabri Drovers Campfire week when Boggabri’s friendly locals ban together to host more than 400 campers from around Australia.

Set in the heart of north west NSW the event, to be held from 20-25 April, provides the perfect excuse to pack the RV, caravan, campervan, motorhome or tent, and join a week of campfires, camp oven cooking, shearing demonstrations and district tours in NSW’s Narrabri Shire.

Destination CEO Sandra Chipchase said the event is proudly supported by Destination NSW through its Regional Flagships Event Program.

“Events such as the Boggabri Drovers Campfire play an important role for tourism in Regional NSW, attracting visitors and helping boost local economies, and we look forward to attracting more visitors to this region through this award-winning event,” Ms Chipchase said.

Hosted by the Boggabri Lions Club, this year’s event is planned to be bigger and better than ever. Don’t miss the Saturday night entertainment when locals present a series of entertaining and amusing skits, and catch Narrabri’s Jazz Junction band on Sunday night around the campfire.

The Boggabri Drovers Campfire Weekend took out the Silver Award in the 2015 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in the Festivals & Events Category.
