VOLUNTEER FOR SYDNEY OPEN 2015 NOW!

Sydney Open is returning on Sunday 1 November throughout Sydney. 

For one day only, curious Sydneysiders will have the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of more than 50 of Sydney's best loved buildings.

Volunteers are crucial to the success of Sydney Open. This annual event is supported by over 350 volunteers across three roles:

• Site Volunteers help on the day by welcoming the public and creating a positive atmosphere.
• Site Supervisors coordinate public access to a site, do the planning for their site in the eight weeks beforehand, and supervise a team of volunteers on the day.
• Volunteer Travel Officers act as ambassadors of Sydney Living Museums on free event buses that will be running on the day, providing general information to ticket-holders.

All our volunteers get the chance to meet new people, support their community, share their passion for Sydney’s architecture and above all have fun!

All volunteers receive a free ticket to Sydney Open and an invitation to the Volunteers' Thank you Party. Site Supervisors will receive a complimentary 3-month Sydney Living Museums membership. Site Volunteers and Volunteer Travel Officers are offered the opportunity to purchase a full Sydney Living Museums membership at a 10% discount post the event. All volunteers also receive a Sydney Open 2015 t-shirt and a certificate of appreciation.

Both the Site Supervisor and Travel Officer roles require a short face-to-face interview.

We will be looking for Site Supervisors until mid September or until all the roles are filled. We will be looking for Site Volunteers and Volunteer Travel Officers until early-mid October or until all the roles are filled. No interview is required for the Site Volunteer role.
