Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort Awarded TripAdvisor 'Hall of Fame'

Lady Elliot Island
Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort is very proud to announce that we have been awarded the 2015 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame! The Certificate of Excellence award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. The 'Hall of Fame' was created to honour those businesses that have earned a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. The Lady Elliot Island Day Tour was also awarded the 2015 Certificate of Excellence.

In addition, Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort has achieved Platinum level in the TripAdvisor® GreenLeaders™ program, which helps travellers around the world plan greener trips by highlighting hotels and B&Bs engaging in environmentally-friendly practices. TripAdvisor GreenLeaders properties have met a set of environmental standards developed for TripAdvisor by a leading environmental consulting firm, with input from expert partners. The more green practices a hotel has in place, the higher its GreenLeader level, which is shown on the property's listing on the TripAdvisor site.

Lady Elliot Island is a true coral cay located on the southern tip of Australia's iconic Great Barrier Reef, 80kms north-east of Bundaberg, just north of Fraser Island. The Island is situated within a highly protected 'Green Zone' of the World Heritage Listed Marine National Park and is a sanctuary for over 1,200 species of marine life. Lady Elliot Island is regarded as one of the best diving and snorkelling locations on the Great Barrier Reef and is renowned for its healthy coral reef and abundance of turtles, manta rays, reef sharks and the entire cast of Finding Nemo.

We operate a small unpretentious 41 room Eco Resort on Lady Elliot Island which strives to provide guests with a genuine eco-tourism experience. The Eco Resort offers a range of comfortable accommodation options with each suite, unit and cabin designed to minimise impact on the Island while enriching our guest's experience of the seasonal wildlife. The main goal is to provide guests with life changing moments and world class experiences through natural encounters both above and below the water.

Guests can enjoy a day-trip or stay for a few days to explore this incredible marine eco-system. Scenic flights to Lady Elliot Island depart daily from the Gold Coast, Brisbane (Redcliffe), Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast or Bundaberg.

“Being awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence five years in a row and inducted into the 'Hall of Fame' is a true source of pride for the entire team at the Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort and we'd like to thank all of our guests who have taken the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor,” said Peter Gash, Managing Director of Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort. “There is no greater seal of approval than being recognised by our customers. With the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence based on customer reviews, the accolade is a remarkable vote of confidence in our business and our genuine commitment to customer service excellence and preserving the environment of our amazing coral cay.”
