SA Tourism Shined at Nation's Largest Travel Forum

South Australia
South Australia's most renowned tourism experiences were showcased on an international platform at this year's Australian Tourism Exchange.
Tourism Minister Leon Bignell, who is attending the event in Melbourne, said it was recognised as Australia's largest annual tourism forum
"It has been an excellent week for tourism in South Australia with the State Government announcing its unprecedented investment in tourism with a funding package of $35 million to promote key international and domestic markets," Mr Bignell said.
"Now, more than ever, is time to show some of the world's leading influencers why we are a destination to promote.
"This year around 700 key buyer delegates from more than 30 countries will attend the Exchange, along with more than 80 international and Australian media representatives.
"Networking on such global scale is our chance to highlight why South Australia is a must-visit destination, home to some of the most inspiring and unique experiences.
"Fifteen of the SATC's international office staff from the United Kingdom, Europe, South East Asia, China, North and South America, France, New Zealand and Italy have also been in SA over the past week.
"They have travelled to the outback, experienced wine regions and learnt more about our redeveloped CBD. The idea is for them to go back to their respective countries to share what they have learned.
"On Tuesday (June 23) the State Government showcased the Epicurean Way touring route and Tasting Australia, by hosting an exclusive dinner for ATE delegates.
The dinner was been designed by Tasting Australia's Creative Director Simon Bryant with South Australian chefs including Lachlan Cowill (Hentley Farm), Tim Bourke (Southern Ocean Lodge), Peter Davies (KI Beehives) and Kris Lloyd (Woodside Cheese).
The Exchange was held from June 21 to 25.
