The majority of the property is now accessible to guests including the main Lodge Lounge and Reception, the new Salt Water Restaurant boasting interactive kitchen, Driftwood Bar and Wine Cellar, where guests can enjoy a wine list curated by Jeremy Oliver.
Luxurious Essentia Day Spa featuring La Biosthetique product – a domestic exclusive for the island, as well as the Island Retail Boutique, on-site gymnasium, swimming pool and marine and diving activities, will all also be available.
Executive Director for Delaware North's resorts in Australia, Greg Magi said he is excited for guests to fall in love with the new-look Lizard Island.
“We appreciate the patience and support we've received during the rebuild of Lizard Island. We are delighted with the new look Lizard Island, as are the first guests that have arrived since the June 5 reopening,” said Mr. Magi.
“We're on track to have the entire resort reopened in mid-August, and until then we'll be offering 25 percent off the retail rates.”
During this time ongoing building works will be limited to daylight hours only which will result in low noise levels during breakfast and lunch, in preparation for Lizard Island's full resort opening mid-August.
The multi-million dollar investment into Lizard Island is set to reclaim its position as one of the world's leading premium resorts.
“We have received great feedback from guests so far, who are delighted with the new additions to the island, I have no doubt that we'll further enchant our guests as we continue to unveil more of the Island,” said Mr. Magi.
All rooms and suites have been fully refurbished with interiors by leading Australian interior design team Hecker Guthrie and architects, Owen and Vokes and Peters.
