Western Sydney Makes a Spalsh with Opening of Wet 'N' Wild Sydney

Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney has officially opened, boasting over 40 water slides and attractions, state-of-the-art guest experiences and world-class facilities.

The world’s “biggest ‘n’ best” water theme park is located on Reservoir Road off the M4 Highway (Prospect exit) in Western Sydney.

Wet 'n' Wild is being billed as the West’s epicentre of family fun, with the world’s largest collection of thrilling slides and family attractions.

Speaking at the Grand Opening – also attended by Graham Burke (Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of Village Roadshow Limited), Tim Fisher (CEO of Village Roadshow Theme Parks), and Chris Warhurst (General Manager of Wet 'n’ Wild Sydney) – Minister for Tourism and Major Events, George Souris, said that the Park would provide significant economic benefits for Western Sydney.

“Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney is the largest water theme park to open in NSW in the past 50 years and promises to be a great asset for Western Sydney and indeed New South Wales, bringing both local visitors and those from regional areas, interstate and overseas.

“The $120 million water park has already given an economic boost to the region and created hundreds of jobs. Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney is expected to generate in excess of $500 million in economic activity over the next 10 years for the local economy,” he said.

The rides are certainly set to thrill, using the latest cutting-edge technology including ‘360Rush’ – a 60ft free fall and 360-degree loop experience, T5 which swirls guests through a 45-foot dark funnel, Tropical Cyclone with its jaw-dropping twists and turns, and Double BOWLSeye, which spins guests through a series of super-sized bowls.

There are also great attractions for younger members of the family, with Wet ‘n’ Wild Jr. featuring kid-sized attractions as well as The Beach – Australia’s largest wave pool with over 6,800,000 litres of water, the finest sand and perfect waves, making it the world’s best inland sea.
