I was born and raised in the vibrant, palm-fringed South of Sri Lanka. Over the years, I have moved between the lecture halls of the University of Ruhuna and the untamed beauty of the island's natural landscapes. My approach to travel is founded on the principles of slow and ethical tourism, encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in authentic experiences rather than rushing from one attraction to the next.
To me, the perfect day is not about ticking off ten famous landmarks. It is about watching the morning mist rise over ancient landscapes, discovering why a centuries-old stone carving at Buduruwagala was created in a particular way, or quietly observing a leopard in its natural habitat without disturbing its daily routine.
