Already celebrated for world-class layouts, dramatic scenery and championship-calibre design, Vietnam Golf Coast is doubling down on continual refinement, with major upgrades underway at two of the region’s standout golf courses — Ba Na Hills Golf Club and Laguna Golf Lang Co.
From improved turf management and landscaping to enhanced drainage, sustainability projects and upgraded course conditioning, these developments reinforce why golf travel in Vietnam continues to attract players from around the world.

Designed as a Sir Nick Faldo Signature course, the layout seamlessly blends natural landscapes, rice paddies, coastline and mountain backdrops into a memorable championship golf destination.
Now, the club is investing heavily in improvements aimed at strengthening course resilience throughout the year, particularly during Vietnam’s more demanding winter conditions.
Among the most unique enhancements is the construction of a second shelter for the course’s much-loved resident water buffalo.
These iconic animals serve as natural "bio mowers", helping maintain the rice paddies integrated throughout the course while reinforcing Laguna Golf Lang Co’s strong environmental philosophy.
The new shelter will provide additional protection from storms while supporting the welfare of the bovine groundskeepers that have become synonymous with the course’s character.
Alongside this initiative, Laguna Golf Lang Co is undertaking significant turf improvements.
“Alongside the new shelter, we’re re-establishing putting surfaces and expanding our turf nurseries as we transition back to Zoysia matrella,” said Jason Blacka, newly appointed Chief Superintendent at Laguna Golf Lang Co.
“We’re also adopting enhanced staff training and implementing customised agronomic practices to maintain optimal turf health and playability year-round.”
The course is also revitalising native landscape areas, exposing more natural sand zones and promoting resilient indigenous planting. These measures not only strengthen ecological sustainability but also heighten the dramatic visual presentation of the golf course.

The Luke Donald designed championship course has introduced a sharpened brand identity centred around the philosophy: Crafted by Nature, Perfected by Passion.
More than a branding exercise, the concept reflects the club’s deeper commitment to authenticity, course presentation and continual improvement.
“This is more than just a slogan, it’s a guiding ethos that informs how we present and care for our course,” said Simon Mees, General Manager at Ba Na Hills Golf Club.
“We’ve implemented a more rigorous maintenance regime focused on turf quality and year-round playability, while enhancing facilities to ensure comfort without compromising the tranquillity we’re known for.”
Recent upgrades across the course demonstrate this commitment in action.
Water levels between holes nine and eighteen have been raised to improve aesthetics, while fairway modifications on hole eleven have revealed attractive water views and delivered improved drainage performance.
At the same time, extensive annual renovations are being carried out across all playing surfaces to support healthier root systems, denser turf growth and superior long-term playing conditions.

Innovations such as SmartScore are assisting clubs in streamlining golf operations and improving the guest journey without detracting from the traditional essence of the game.
Despite the embrace of technology, the focus remains firmly on preserving the integrity of the golf experience, showcasing exceptional landscapes and delivering memorable rounds in naturally beautiful settings.
The balance between innovation, sustainability and pure golf enjoyment is becoming a defining strength of Vietnam’s rapidly growing golf tourism market.
Why Vietnam Golf Coast Continues To Lead Asian Golf Tourism
The latest investments by Ba Na Hills Golf Club and Laguna Golf Lang Co underline a broader philosophy shared across the Vietnam Golf Coast — a belief that standing still is not an option.
Rather than relying solely on established reputations, the region’s leading golf clubs continue investing in course conditioning, player comfort, environmental stewardship and long-term excellence.
“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but the real key is never standing still,” said Simon Mees.
“At Ba Na Hills and across the Vietnam Golf Coast, we’re committed to refining every detail so that every visit feels better than the last.”
For international travellers seeking championship golf, luxury hospitality, stunning coastal scenery and world-class course design, Vietnam Golf Coast continues to cement its position as one of the best golf holiday destinations in Asia.
