Moonlight Cinema Marks 30 Years of Love Stories

 Moonlight Cinema
A dedicated Week of Romance returns to Moonlight Cinema presented by Youi this February, with a curated lineup of films that explore love and desire in all its forms – from feel-good romantic favourites to the darker, more obsessive side of desire.

The program includes the highly anticipated Wuthering Heights, screening on Valentine’s Day, alongside audience favourites including Mamma Mia! and Jurassic Park as part of The People’s Program.

Across its 30-year history, Moonlight Cinema has become an annual date-night tradition for many couples, playing host to everything from first dates to surprise engagements and long-standing love stories. This February, Week of Romance invites audiences to revisit iconic films including Pretty Woman, Notting Hill, 10 Things I Hate About You, Dirty Dancing and The Notebook, before turning the lens to love at its most intense.

Starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, Wuthering Heights screens on February 14 and offers a bold alternative to the traditional Valentine’s romance. Raw and emotionally charged, it explores the darker edges of desire, making it a striking Valentine’s or Galentine’s night under the stars.

As part of Moonlight Cinema’s 30th birthday celebrations, audiences were invited to vote for the classic films they wanted to see return to the big screen as part of The People’s Program. With more than 6,500 submissions nationwide, the top voted films returning this February include: Jurassic Park, Mamma Mia! Dirty Dancing, The Hunger Games and Grease (Sing-Along).

The February program also features a selection of summer releases including Hamnet, Avatar: Fire & Ash, and Marty Supreme. Preview screenings include Jimpa starring Olivia Coleman and black comedy thriller How to Make a Killing.

Moonlight Cinema presented by Youi runs until Sunday 5 April 2026. Location-specific dates are available below.
