Next week, all eyes in the business events industry will turn to Auckland, as New Zealand’s largest annual showcase, MEETINGS 2025, takes centre stage at Auckland Showgrounds. Over two dynamic days—11 and 12 June—more than 550 buyers will connect with exhibitors across 253 stands representing 18 regions of New Zealand.
The excitement begins on Tuesday 10 June with an official welcome at Eden Park, led by New Zealand’s Minister of Tourism and Hospitality, Hon Louise Upston, and Auckland’s Mayor, Wayne Brown.
A Showcase with Global Pulling Power
Run by Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) since 1997, MEETINGS returns to Auckland for the first time in four years. Its scale reflects the country’s rapid ascent as a premium destination for business events of all kinds—corporate meetings, conferences, incentive travel, exhibitions, product launches, and team-building getaways.
This year’s show is the largest yet, featuring 35 new exhibitors across a broad range of sectors, from venues and hotels to audio-visual companies, regional tourism bureaux, activity providers, and event theming specialists.
International Buyers Flock to New Zealand
BEIA Chief Executive Lisa Hopkins says interest in New Zealand as a business events hub has never been stronger.
“This year sees the largest-ever delegation from Australia, with 126 business event organisers crossing the Tasman to meet in Auckland,” she says. “They’ll be joined by international buyers and a strong contingent of domestic event planners, all eager to explore what New Zealand has to offer.”
With the support of Air New Zealand and seven regional convention bureaux, 64 of the Australian buyers will travel beyond Auckland before and after the show, discovering key event destinations throughout the country. Auckland Convention Bureau is also set to host a city tour on Tuesday 10 June to showcase the local offering.

From cutting-edge venues to authentic cultural experiences, the showcase allows buyers to finalise event planning on the spot or be inspired to create something new entirely.
Industry Access and Free Registration
While the main programme is dedicated to pre-arranged meetings, MEETINGS also opens its doors to a broader industry audience during Industry Hours from 2.30pm to 4.00pm on both Wednesday 11 June and Thursday 12 June. Day Buyer registration remains open and is free of charge.
