On Sunday, 26th January, Route 456 will operate from Macquarie Street near the Sydney Opera House, heading to North Sydney and returning via the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Enjoy a scenic ride as the buses travel along the Cahill Expressway, making two crossings of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. You’ll have the opportunity to experience Sydney from a whole new perspective, with panoramic views from upstairs on the classic double-decker buses.The buses, which hail from Sydney, London, and Hong Kong, will depart every five minutes between 10:00 am and 5:30 pm, ensuring plenty of chances for you to board throughout the day. With up to 12 vintage buses operating, it’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy a leisurely ride through the heart of Sydney.

This unique Australia Day event invites passengers to contribute a donation to support the ongoing operation of these historic buses. Contactless payment will be available at the boarding point, and there will also be gold coin donation boxes onboard for convenience. The funds help preserve these magnificent vintage buses and ensure they continue to be part of Sydney ’s rich transport heritage.Details
