Wilderness to rebuild two Botswana camps

Wilderness is to rebuild is Wilderness Tubu Tree and Wilderness Little Tubu camps, which, are located in the wildlife-rich Jao Reserve in Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

The two camps will reopen in June 2024, with a ‘modern look and feel, while still paying homage to their long history and beautiful natural surrounds’. 

Owned by the Kays family for over two decades, the Jao Reserve offers a wilderness experience, with Tubu Tree, and its sister camp Little Tubu, sought after for their thrilling leopard, wild dog and lion sightings. 

The camps’ location, on Hunda Island gives them sweeping views over the area’s floodplains Wilderness is a conservation and hospitality company, offering vacations that positively impact conservation and communities. 

Operating in eight countries, with more than 60 camps and lodges, Wilderness helps protect some 2.3 million hectares (6 million acres) of exclusive wilderness, with a goal is to double that by 2030.
