Enjoy some of the local specialties, such as homemade soba, or konnyaku balls with mustard. 

Ascend over 1,000 stone steps through a serene forest and have your breath taken away by the views above the cliffs from the temple.

Admission for adults is 300 yen (approx. AU$3), 200 yen for children ages 12 to 15 (approx. AU$2), and 100 yen (approx. AU$1) for children 4 years and over.

Yamadera's trail entrance is a quick five-minute stroll from JR Yamadera Station.
