P&O Cruises Australia has announced it will extend its industry-leading P&O Assurance policy, giving its guests continued confidence and flexibility as they make their cruise holiday plans.
Under the update, P&O’s Assurance payments and cancellation policy will now cover all cruises departing before July 1, 2022, and will apply to all existing and future bookings made before May 12, 2021.
Guests who book before that date will be able to cancel their cruise up to 75 days prior to sailing and receive a full refund with no cancellation fee.
Meanwhile, guests who choose to cancel their cruise between 75 and 14 days prior to the scheduled departure will have their cancellation fee returned to them as a Future Cruise Credit.
P&O Cruises Australia President Sture Myrmell said the policy update was designed to give the cruise line’s loyal guests continued confidence in their ability to control their holiday plans at a time when flexibility in travel was important.
“P&O’s Assurance policy has been incredibly popular because it has given our guests peace of mind in an uncertain environment, and we think this update will be very well received,” Mr Myrmell said.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer our loyal guests enhanced confidence to change existing or new bookings if and when it suits them, and we thank them for their ongoing support in these unusual times.
“We know that a huge number of our guests are as keen as we are to resume cruising and we can’t wait to welcome them back onboard our ships.”
Last October’s launch of the P&O Assurance policy initially covered all itineraries departing before November 30, 2021 and on bookings made before March 2, 2021.
